One advantage of going unnoticed; you are unnoticed. Being in the class is boring enough, especially when there is no one to interact with. I prefer to be in the library. Although I will admit, being in the library is not the most glamorous thing either; I have read every book there.

Closing the book on my lap, I get up to go put it back in the shelf. As I slide it back into its place somebody else grabbed onto it.
"There it is! I've been looking for it all over!" he exclaimed.
The librarian glared at him. The person rose his finger to his lips and and mouthed 'sorry'. I chuckled and stepped out of the library.

School truly is the perfect combination of order and chaos. As a whole it functions seamlessly, quietly, as a single unit. However, as with any super-organism, the inner workings prove to be increasingly independent, each class functioning almost as it's own sense of reality. I walk sticking to the wall so as to not let anyone walk into me. It would be awkward for both of us, more so for the other person. But, it seems, no amount of carefulness can get around a kid determined to move from point A to B as quickly as he can.

The collision was powerful, the pain brilliant. I looked out at the person who ran into me. His friends were tending to him, he himself was dumfounded.
"Sorry, my bad," I said as I closed my eyes. Opening them I was on my feet again, standing exactly where I was before the collision. The kids were well on their way to the other side of the corridor. This is what happens every time. I've come to realise it's useful, especially when the accident is life-threatening. I went out to the ground, dusty as ever.

People running this way and that. I made my way to the basketball court. It is quieter there. One of the balls will always be lying on the court. I started shooting a few hoops. Man, I am out of practice. Not only am I missing shots, I'm getting tired. Barely a quarter of an hour of simple jogging and I am already panting. Only two months and now I'm playing like I've no athletic skill whatsoever. Mind you, I feel I could have held my own two months ago.
"Dude, there is a ball in the court. I told you so," said an approaching voice behind me.
I looked around to see a group headed toward the court.
"Could've sworn there wasn't," he said looking confused, "Ah well, makes no difference. Make teams."
That was my cue to leave. May as well return to the classroom now.

Class is going on as usual. One group pays attention like their life depends on it, one group pays as much attention as is required, and the final group is... well, let's just say their interest is lacking until they are called upon by the teacher.

The school bell tolls the end of the day.

I put my head down. I think I'm going to walk home today. It's not like it makes a difference to anybody. In fact, if anything it makes it easier for me and everyone around me. I can be more careful. I looked back up. A few people still hadn't left, the photography club by looks of it. They were talking about their next photo venue.

"So where to this time?" Maya asked.
"As always, you'll see..." Valencia said with practiced suspense.
I chuckled, she never could bring herself to give up secrets.
"Oh! I think I forgot something," Maya said, "Catch you guys downstairs?"
"Sure, be quick!" Valencia said as the rest of the group walked away.

Maya walked back to her desk, opened it and pulled out a few books. As she was putting them into her bag she looked over to my direction and gasped. I momentarily became surprised.
"Oh, now this is a good shot!" she said pulling her camera out.

I turned around to see the sun shining its hue through the clouds, and into the room through the window. I chuckled as I put my head back down. Maya always has her eyes out for beauty, and she's always surprised by things she doesn't expect. As if on cue to my thoughts I heard another gasp as the camera beeped on, I gave it no thought. Until...

"Hello?"
This time I sat up in confusion. Maya was pointing her camera right at me, there was no mistaking it. That was when the surprise hit me.
"Wait... You can... You can see me?"
